Corporate Newsroom

Client: Vodafone

How the digital newsroom brings stories to life for journalists and multipliers.

Corporate Newsroom
The case summarized in brief! 🚀

The challenge

The requirement was for a newsroom that goes beyond the publication of press releases and presents its own compelling articles and stories, while at the same time offering all the functionalities expected by modern media representatives.

The solution

Moving away from a simple collection of functions to a concept that packages the newsroom like a high-quality digital magazine, yet does not sacrifice features and convenience solutions that are important to journalists and multipliers.

  Let's take a closer look. 🔎

From content to experience concept and user-centered design

The Vodafone Corporate Newsroom was to become a central component of corporate communications. With a unique blend of journalistic depth and technical innovation that changes the way information is disseminated and consumed.

This includes:

  1. Concept: Developing a concept that goes beyond traditional press releases and functions as a dynamic, digital magazine.
  2. Design: Finding the UI sweet spot between a "fancy" digital magazine and essential functionality, without letting the web experience drift into boredom through the wrong compromises.
  3. Technology: In addition to a special focus on the performance of the interface, the aim was to integrate automated functions for handling and downloading media content such as photos, videos, and PDFs.
  4. Collaboration: Ongoing, close, and open collaboration with the great Vodafone Communications team.

Technology in the background: Headless Payload CMS, modern front end, and media library.

The Vodafone Corporate Newsroom is based on the headless Payload CMS technology and coordinated modern front-end technology to ensure maximum performance and availability.

We are proud to have integrated our own media library technology, which enables smooth management and distribution of content, whether it be videos from content creators or high-quality images from photographers.

All visual content is curated, commented on, and finally approved via the media library. Seamless integration into the newsroom Payload CMS enables Vodafone editors to enjoy a smooth and effective workflow.

Continuous development

The project is in a dynamic phase of ongoing development.

This includes regularly updating content, introducing new interactive features, and continuously optimizing the user experience based on detailed analyses and user feedback.

Our goal is to continuously improve the corporate newsroom and adapt it to the changing needs and expectations of journalists and multipliers. Our aim is to establish the Vodafone Newsroom as one of the best newsroom experiences on the market in the long term.
